- After you click Add, you should see the Remote Desktop connection that you just added. Double-click on it.
- *Optional Step*
By default, the Windows App will open Remote Desktop connections in Full Screen mode. Follow this optional instruction to have the Remote Desktop Server open in a smaller window. At the devices window, right-click the connection that you added. Click on Display. Uncheck Start session in full screen and click Save.
- Once you double-click on the connection that you added, you will see the following window. Click Continue to connect to the Remote Desktop Server.
- Once the connection is established, you will be at the Desktop on the Remote Desktop Server. You may use the installed applications as you wish. Please keep in mind that this Remote Desktop Server does not allow file transfer to your physical computer. You will need to e-mail any work to yourself or upload directly to Canvas. Ask your instructor if you have any questions regarding turning in your work. *Please disregard the Activate Windows warning at the bottom of the screen.
- If you are unable to connect to the server or have any further questions, please contact the IT Department. We can be reached via phone at 628-234-8888. We can be reached via e-mail at [email protected]. You can also stop by the IT Office at Kentfield Campus, SMN Building, Room 135. Our hours are typically 8:30a-4:00p, Monday through Friday. Your instructor’s ability to troubleshoot these issues will be limited.
